By downloading, installing, or using Cosmetic IQ ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Use of the App

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Modify or create derivative works of the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

Value Score Disclaimer

The Value Score provided by Cosmetic IQ is a proprietary rating based on our analysis of ingredient quality, concentration, and market pricing. This score represents our calculated opinion and is not a statement of fact.

Important: The Value Score is:

• Based on publicly available ingredient data and market pricing
• An opinion-based analysis, not medical or scientific advice
• Not a guarantee of product quality or effectiveness
• Subject to change as ingredient data and pricing evolve

Not Medical Advice

Cosmetic IQ does not provide medical, health, or dermatological advice. The App is for informational purposes only. Always consult with a healthcare professional or dermatologist for advice regarding skin concerns, allergies, or product suitability.

Brand Names and Trademarks

Brand names and product names used in the App are the property of their respective owners. We use these names under nominative fair use for identification purposes only. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any brand or manufacturer.

Data Source

Product data is sourced from Open Beauty Facts under the Open Database License (ODbL). Ingredient pricing data is based on market averages and may not reflect current or local pricing.

In-App Purchases

Cosmetic IQ offers in-app purchases (e.g., "Pro" upgrade). All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cosmetic IQ and its developers shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Product recommendations or purchase decisions made based on the App
• Any errors or inaccuracies in product data or Value Scores

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, for any reason.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App developer operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
